Our Statement of Faith

The Trinity

We believe in one true God, who eternally exists as three Persons—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). Though distinct in Person, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one God, equal in nature, power, holiness, and glory (Deuteronomy 6:4; John 10:30).

God the Father is the loving Creator and Sustainer of all things (Genesis 1:1; Colossians 1:16–17). He is faithful, merciful, and good, and in His love He welcomes all who turn to Him in repentance and faith (Psalm 103:8–13; John 3:16).

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is fully God and fully man (John 1:1, 14; Colossians 2:9). He lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), died on the cross for our sins (1 Peter 2:24), rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:3–4), and now reigns at the right hand of the Father (Hebrews 1:3). Jesus declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6), making Him the Savior of the world (John 4:42).

The Holy Spirit is God present with us today (Acts 5:3–4). He convicts the world of sin and leads people to new life in Christ (John 16:8; Titus 3:5). The Holy Spirit lives within believers (1 Corinthians 6:19), comforts and guides them into truth (John 14:16–17, 26), empowers them for holy living and witness (Acts 1:8), and equips the Church to carry out God’s mission in the world (1 Corinthians 12:4–7; Ephesians 4:11–13).

The Kingdom of God

The Kingdom of God is present wherever Jesus Christ is acknowledged as Lord, for Jesus proclaimed, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near” (Matthew 3:2; Mark 1:15). This Kingdom is revealed and made visible through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, who brings God’s rule to life in and among His people. Anyone who turns from sin, places their trust in Jesus, and follows Him becomes part of God’s Kingdom. Jesus taught His followers to pray, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10), and instructed us to seek God’s Kingdom above all else, promising that everything we need will be provided (Matthew 6:33). Living in the Kingdom is not merely a future hope, but a present reality marked by a growing, personal relationship with God under His loving rule.

The Word of God

The Bible, made up of sixty-six books, is the inspired and trustworthy Word of God. Scripture itself declares that “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16–17). Because it comes from God, the Bible is true in all it affirms and stands as the final authority for what we believe and how we live. Jesus affirmed the enduring truth of God’s Word, saying that not even the smallest part of it would pass away (Matthew 5:18), and He prayed, “Your word is truth” (John 17:17). The Bible is unique because it is living and active, able to penetrate the heart and discern truth from error (Hebrews 4:12). Through the Holy Spirit, God spoke through human authors, ensuring that Scripture is not merely human opinion but God’s revealed truth for all generations (2 Peter 1:20–21).

The Presence of God

We believe that God is Emmanuel—God with us (Matthew 1:23; Exodus 29:45–46), and His Presence is available to His people today. In His Presence there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11), healing, deliverance, and salvation for all who trust Him. God delights to meet with His people as we draw near in prayer, worship, and obedience, revealing Himself and His glory (Hebrews 4:16; Revelation 21:3). Experiencing the Presence of God strengthens our faith, draws us into an intimate relationship with Him, and reminds us that He is always with us, guiding, comforting, and sustaining us in every circumstance.

Prayer

Prayer is our ongoing relationship with God—waiting on Him, speaking with Him, and listening to His voice. Jesus taught His disciples how to pray, showing that prayer is personal and relational, not merely ritual (Matthew 6:9–13). Through prayer, we stay spiritually alert and dependent on God’s strength (Matthew 26:41), and Scripture calls us to live in continual prayer, rejoicing always and giving thanks in every circumstance (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18).

As we spend time with God in prayer, our intimacy with Him deepens. The psalmist reminds us to wait on the Lord, promising renewed strength to those who seek Him (Psalm 27:14; Isaiah 40:31). Jesus Himself called His disciples friends, revealing His heart and will to those who walk closely with Him (John 15:15). Because God’s Kingdom is spiritual, we come to know His will and experience His power through prayer, relying on the Holy Spirit as we pray at all times (Ephesians 6:18; Isaiah 41:1).

Worship

Worship is at the heart of who God created us to be. Jesus said, “God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:23–24), showing that true worship comes from the heart and aligns with God’s nature. God desires our worship because of Who He is—holy, mighty, and worthy of all honor (Exodus 34:14).

As believers, our core identity is that of worshippers. We express our love and devotion to God by praising Him for all He has done and continues to do (1 Chronicles 16:37; Nehemiah 9:3). Scripture calls us to lift our voices in prayer and song, coming before Him with reverence and thanksgiving (Psalm 5:7; 22:27; 29:2; 45:11). Worship is both a response to God’s greatness and the highest purpose of our lives, inviting His presence to fill and transform us.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8–9; John 1:12–13). No law, ritual, good work, or human effort can earn it, for all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). God draws people to Himself, and all who trust in Jesus are forgiven, adopted into His family, and assured of eternal life (John 6:37–44; Acts 16:30–31; Romans 8:31–39). Through the power of the Holy Spirit, God’s saving grace sanctifies us, enables us to live in ways that please Him, and gradually conforms us to the likeness of Christ (Philippians 2:12–13; Romans 8:1–17). As we confess our sins, He cleanses and renews us (1 John 1:7–9; Titus 3:3–7), making salvation entirely God’s work from beginning to end and bringing freedom, joy, and eternal security to all who believe.

The Church and Mission

The Church is God’s chosen instrument to carry out His redemptive plan on earth (Matthew 16:17–19; Acts 2:17–18). It is not defined by buildings, denominations, or programs, but is the living Body of Christ—everyone made alive by the Spirit through faith in Jesus (Ephesians 3:14–21; 1 Peter 2:4–5). As God’s family, the Church is alive and active in the world, and there is one family under God (Ephesians 4:4–6). Every believer is called to serve, contribute, and participate in ministry, for God has given leaders—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers—to equip the Church for every good work and for building up the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11–16). All believers are part of God’s royal priesthood, and women, just as men, are called and empowered to proclaim the gospel and serve in Kingdom work (1 Peter 2:9–10; Acts 2:17–18; 1 Timothy 2:11–15). Being rooted in a local church strengthens believers, encourages one another, and equips them to live out God’s calling together (Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:23–25).

Jesus said to His disciples: “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19; John 20:21). The mission is sending, equipping every believer to live out God’s calling, win people to Christ, and build them up in maturity and service. Ministry is not the work of a few leaders—it is the calling of every believer, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and expressed through preaching, teaching, practical service, and generosity (Isaiah 58:6–12; Luke 4:18; Matthew 5:1–7:28; Galatians 2:10; 1 Timothy 6:8). Together, in unity and love, we aim to demonstrate the gospel, make disciples, care for the poor, and glorify Christ in every part of life, fulfilling the heart of our Lord’s mandate.
